Selling the O2-series
Pre-purchase Checklist
Value Guidelines
In this section, we try to establish some guidelines for estimating the value of a 2002 similar to the way it may be estimated for assessment.
No matter how hard we try, no one person will be happy at the way this table is created or the values listed. Sellers will think we are too low and Buyers will think it is too high. Or the divisions between two models isn't high enough or they are too high. But, the keys to these guidelines are simple:
- The true value is the amount a seller is willing to sell at and the buyer is willing to pay. The law of supply and demand really works well in the case of the O2-series. However, be forewarned as a buyer: the values of the O2-series continue to climb. They are wonderful cars and people are buying them to remember a time when they were younger or because these original sport sedans are a practical, fun way to get between two points.
- Certain people can get more for their cars because of their reputation for selling premium cars. A car restored or refurbished by someone like Peter Sliskovich will usually command a higher prices.
- The value for O2-series cars with a unique or special history or equipped with rare, desireable options are incredibly hard to estimate. The purchase of one of these cars should be done with the heart and not the mind - throw out any of the value guidelines for these cars.
- The table will continue to evolve as sales of vehicles are reported. We will do our best to keep it updated and useful.

Report a Sold Car
þ This area is still under construction. One of the important aspects of generating a good set of guidelines for establishing the value for the O2-series is keeping track of actual sales. We can continue to refind and update the Values Guide based on reports with proper evaluation of the condition and the value of options or accessories in addition to the actual selling price.
