Driveshaft modifications for 320i 5-speed conversions
The Getrag _____ from the 320i has a 3-bolt output flange rather than a 4-bolt like the standard 4-speed. Therefore, the driveshaft had to be modified for use in the 2002. During the conversion, someone should have sent out two driveshafts - one from the 320i and one from the 2002 - to be spliced together. Then, the driveshaft needed to be sent out for balancing.
